Douglas County Updatae

SE QUADRANT - Please note that Trail 7 and Trail 27 (from trail 7 north to the trail 27/27a intersection section only) has been temporarily closed. The trail had been checked by club members over the weekend and found to be solid however, the recent warm temperatures and rain has resulted in a unsafe condition in the wetland crossings. The gate by Cut-A-Way dam has been closed at this time. As cold weather and/or additional snow arrives the trail will be re-evaluated and opened when solid.

Burnett County Winter Season

The Frozen Ground ATV/UTV Winter Trail System is open! Until a 4" groomed snow base is present, our snowmobile trails will remain closed. Please be cautious over wetlands, as some may not yet be completely frozen. The extended forecast has highs in the teens and low 20s.

***THE BRIDGE OVER THE ST. CROIX RIVER ON THE GANDY DANCER TRAIL REMAINS CLOSED TO VEHICLES OVER 1,000 LBS. GVW***

PLEASE NOTE: On July 1 over 76,000 acres in Burnett County were severely damaged in a wind storm resulting in the loss of thousands of trees. The clubs worked many hours clearing trees to prepare trails for the riding seasons. PLEASE use extra caution this winter season as any high winds could cause weakened trees to go down. Numerous loggers are clearing trees from county forest, and also from state & private land, sometimes crossing or using our trails with their equipment.

USE COMMON SENSE AND STAY AWARE ON OUR TRAILS THIS WINTER SEASON.
