Upcoming Trail Patrol Ambassador Workshops & Trainings

Northwest Regional WATVA Trail Patrol Ambassador Refresher Course:

Working along with the Wisconsin DNR ATV Safety Instructor criteria of having refresher courses to keep their instructors up to date in their program we have also have started a refresher course program for our Trail Patrol Ambassadors. We had two Refreshers last summer that went very well. The refresher is a short discussion/meeting and then you get out on your machines with the Regional Coordinators and Law Enforcement. Please pass on to your club Trail Patrol Ambassadors that we will be having a Trail Patrol Ambassador Refresher Course June 11th in Birchwood.

South Central Regional WATVA Trail Patrol Ambassador Refresher Course & Hotspot:
June 11th 2011 @ 9:00am
Belmont, WI 

Friday, June 10th(optional):

  • 6:00 pm - Ride the Cheese Country Trail after checking at your hotel / lodging arrangements (see bottom of post). Meet at the Belmont Travel Center, 102 W. Mound View Ave, Belmont, WI 53510.
Saturday June 11th:
  • 8:00 am - Breakfast at the Mound View Family Restaurant, $8 all you can eat buffet. If you do not plan on joining us for breakfast, please meet us in Calamine (see next bullet point). Do not trailer / park in Darlington!
  • 8:45 am - Proceed to Calamine to meet with new Trail Patrol Ambassadors and go over the plans for the day. Calamine is located on State Highway 23 to County Road G, west five miles to Calamine. Parking in Darlington will not be possible due to a large event.
  • 9:15 am - Proceed to Darlington (five mile ride) and meet at the new shower room building. At this time we will plan the groups and split up. Activities include courtesy sound checks, speed control and trail patrol. This will also be the location of the Trail Patrol Ambassador Refresher.
  • Noon - Lunch throughout the city, all accessible to ATVs.
  • 12:30 pm - Switch teams / groups / locations.
This is a very busy weekend in Darlington as it's the annual Canoe Festival which concludes on Sunday.
